My Thoughts
Don’t let the price point fool you. This flat-iron can roll with the big dogs! It heats up super fast and gives you the green light when it’s ready to go. The heat dial is a no brainer. It goes from 140 to 450 degrees with a simple on/off switch. The swivel cord allows for easier styling. So, no more worries about tangling cords as you move. It also comes with a velcro cord wrap to keep your cord in check when it’s time to put it away. This particular unit is lightweight and compact. Plus, it has a really sleek design, so it looks just as chic as other high-priced salon quality irons on the market.
I would prefer to have the temperature dial located somewhere away from the heating plates though. Especially if you need to adjust your heat settings in the middle of styling. The dial on this is pretty small and you do risk burning your fingers, should you decide to do that. Keep in mind that I haven’t attempted to change the settings using my heat glove. So this issue could be a non-factor if the glove provides the solution.
The floating plates and rounded edges of the iron’s body really help to create super smooth hair and perfect curls. To add even more value, this comes with the heat glove, a sample bottle of Argan Oil protectant and a lined satin travel pouch! You really can’t beat that bundle for 40 bucks.

Based on the stellar performance of the flat-iron, the fast heat up and extra bonuses with purchase, I’d have to give the HSI Professional 1″ Ceramic Flat Iron an A!
